Self-storage is becoming increasingly popular in the UK and is quite simply, do-it-yourself storage. We supply a clean, dry secure unit in the size you need. You have your own unique lock and key to your unit and unlimited free access during our long opening times. |

The cost of a storage room depends upon the size required. Our staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and will be delighted to help you
decide the optimum room for your needs. Have a look at our size guide but remember it is only a guideline. We have rooms ranging from a 10
sq. ft. space to 200 sq. ft. or more and prices start from as little as £5 per week. Remember the price you are quoted by our staff includes your storage charge, rates,
service charges, utility bills and maintenance costs. As they say in Warner Brothers cartoons, "That's all folks". Some of our competitors state they will price match, or deduct a further discount. As one customer put it, "What this really means is that if you don't shop around they will rip you off and anyway, they make it back up on the compulsory insurance charges." |

Yes we offer discounts for stays over 3 months and pre-payment discounts; for stays longer than three months, six months and a year. We also offer a 5% discount to students upon production of a valid Student Union Card and a similar discount to members of the Military on production of a valid Military ID. We may also occasionally offer seasonal discounts so please ask. Remember we also do discounts on packaging supplies. For more detail - see our discounts page. |

We invoice customers on a four weekly basis payable in advance. However, we only ask for seven days notice when you vacate your room and unlike renting a flat or house, we refund to you any unused storage charge. For example, you pay for 28 days and give notice and leave after 20 days, you would recieve a refund back for the 8 unused days. We offer a number of payment options but we prefer credit card/switch or debit card although we will also accept cheques, BACS and direct debits. We do not keep cash on the premises and do not accept cash. We require a refundable security deposit equal to four weeks rent which is fully refundable when you leave. |

It is not always necessary, but it is advisable. People are moving in and out all the time. Even if a unit of the size you want isn't immediately available you usually will not have long to wait. Find out how close you are. |

| Unlike some facilities access to Secure-store is FREE and unlimited during our long opening hours, just key in your security code. We have ample car parking and large loading/unloading areas. Alternatively, we can recommend local van hire/removal companies to help with your transportation. |

At the Leighton Buzzard storage facility, Reception is open Monday - Saturday 9am - 5pm; Sunday & Bank Hols 10am - 2pm. At the Letchworth and Royston storage facility Reception is open Monday - Saturday 8 am - 6 pm; Sunday & Bank Hols 10 am - 2 pm. Access can be made available outside these hours by prior notice. Please note We may not be staffed during certain public holidays, like Christmas Day but you may still be able to gain access. Please also remember that we can accept deliveries for you during opening hours if you are not available. |

No, you sign a straightforward storage licence agreement prior to moving into your unit. The agreement is a simple "no fuss" contract and takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. |

There is no long term commitment. Your stay can be as long or as short as you need. The minimum period being 1 week and day to day thereafter. So you can take your belongings out when you need them and you will be refunded by the day for any unused storage time. You do not need to tell us how long you are going to need storage for, but you may be entitled to a pre-payment discount for a long term stay, or it may help us to give you a more suitable unit if we know approximately how long you will be staying. |

No problem, just let us know. You can change your unit / space at short notice, even that day as long as we have the size you want. There is no charge for changing units. |

Yes, a member of our staff will fill in our storage agreement with you, (this takes approximately 10 minutes) and then you can move your goods in straight away. |

On the first occasion you sign up and place your goods in store, you will be required to bring the following:

| Insurance is a condition of self storage in the UK. Your valuable goods must be insured while in storage. If you choose to take up the 'free period' discount, you are required to take a minimum £2,000 cover. If not and you wish to obtain your own cover you may, but please note, you must provide a printed copy proof of such a policy and sign a statement confirming that you will maintain your own cover and that the maximum payable by The Secure-store, in the event of a claim, is the standard goods and carriage value of £50 in total. Our insurance is not expensive and written through a top quality insurer. We can arrange to add you onto our tailor-made insurance policy at very competitive rates, from 90p per week per £1,000 cover. |

The Secure-Store incorporates extensive state-of-the-art features including: 24 hour Digital CCTV surveillance located both inside and outside the main building monitoring all entrances and exits and all recordings are kept for a period on a hard drive; Our Storage rooms are built with galvanised steel and you lock the rooms with your own padlock and keep the key - so even our staff cannot enter; Each individual unit is also alarmed and is monitored from reception plus you keep the only key to your lock; smoke detectors and fire alarms; a sophisticated intruder alarms system, Coded electronic gate access to the building accessible only with your own personal security swipe card or PIN Number, floodlights for the evening and Controlled access. Yes, serving Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire cardboard boxes and a range of packing
materials are from boxes to bubble wrap at very competitive prices. Packing materials can be purchased in person from our stores or you can call and we can have them
delivered free to your door if you spend £25 plus and you live somewhere reasonably accessible within 5 miles of either facilities. For details on discounts, see the

Yes, by pre-arrangement we can take delivery of good for you. We sign for the amount of packages received but not for the contents as this would necessitate us opening your packages. We also hire mailboxes from £5 per month, if you wish to keep your private address, private. |
